My client is no longer using my services, how do I remove myself as an adviser on their FinClear account?
How to offboard your clients.
If a client is no longer using your services, you will need to obtain instructions from them to either:
- Sell their portfolio or
- Transfer to another broker or
- Transfer to issuer sponsored (SRN)*
Once any stock has been sold or transferred, the account will need to be closed.
FinClear do not operate a direct-to-client retail service, so we unfortunately cannot remove you as adviser on an account or deal with the client directly.
All accounts opened at FinClear under your organisation will remain under your managament until such a time as the portfolio has been sold/transferred out and the account has been closed. As such we recommend actioning their offboard from FinClear immediately once they cease to use your services.
*We do not recommend transferring high value portfolios to SRN due to increased risk of mail being intercepted.
