How to update a trustee on a trading account
If there is a change of trustee for a trust or super account, a new account must be established as we cannot amend trustees on an existing account.
- Open a new account to reflect the new trustees. Follow all usual requirements for new account opening including AML/KYC, signed FinClear account opening form and direct debit form (if direct debit is requested).
- Email transfers@finclear.com.au
- Confirm the old and new account number
- Provide a certified amendment to the trust deed, showing the retiring trustee and continuing trustee. - Transfers team will transfer the stock from the old account to the new account.
We do not require Off Market Transfer forms as the certified trust document will suffice to move the stock from old to new account. - Email accountservices@finclear.com.au and instruct the old account/HIN to be cancelled.
