How to correct a trading error

If you have made an error when placing a trade, such as an incorrect number of units, wrong stock, or incorrect brokerage charged, you can request our team to rebook the trade for you.
  1. Complete the rebookings template and email to bookings@finclear.com.au. If the error requires a position to be bought/sold to fix, please request the trade to be rebooked to your errors account (you can find this by doing an account search for "Errors", the account code will usually begin ERR).

  2. Our bookings team will action the rebooking and if required, the trade will be rebooked to your errors account. 

  3. Once the trade has been moved to your errors account, you will need to execute a buy/sell to close out the position as required. Any profit or loss as a result of the error will be swept from this account and included on your FinClear invoice at the end of the month.
